About Me!

Hi! My Name Is Emma Roensch (wrench) ! I am 22 Years Old and Living in Brooklyn, New York.

My main passions are photography, art, and music. I have been loving all three for years, and finally brought them together here in one space.

Photography has been apart of my life for about 7-8 years, starting in high school with my yearbook class. I quickly became one of the main events and sports photographers at the school and the Editor in Chief with my good friend Iris, and from there, my lens became a natural extensions of how I see the world. In college, I was always the “photographer friend” — capturing fleeting moments, unusual shapes in the pavement, or different views of making everyday feel extraordinary.

The art I tend to create is bold, playful, and unique. I try to find different patterns, characters, and shapes to add that all blend together to create a scene. Creating art is my escape, a space where I get to just let my creativity take the wheel and explore different textures and patterns to transform everyday objects into something vibrant and new.

DJing became a passion about two years ago under the name Dr. Doof (yes, short for Dr. Doofenshmirtz). What started as a fun way to aux a friend’s birthday party turned into sets for pre-event gatherings, house shows, local college bars, PHC Prom, and even a Ghost Town Outfitter event. It has been such a fun experience.

This website also features my Top songs from each month of the year, and each section has either a song or playlist tied to the art or photography shown.

I graduated from the University of Oregon with a major in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Criminology, which further shaped how I see the world, and understand the people in it. I am fascinated by what draws someone to a certain song, the ways different artists express themselves, and the background or story about a piece of art. For me, art, music, and life are all connected— each is a reflection of human experience, and understanding that connection to it is just as important to me as creating the work itself.

I’m excited to keep creating, connecting, and exploring. Dive in and enjoy.
